Course Objective

This course, which sets off with the potential answers and solutions of many important practical and theoretical problems in social sciences, lies at the intersection of history and sociology; It aims to present a historical epistemology to analyze everyday life. Therefore, it can be said that the main purpose of this course is to examine the basic theoretical and methodological discussions and contributions in the field of Historical Sociology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will be able to explain the discussions of theory and method in the field of historical sociology and evaluate them critically
2   Will be able to explain and discuss thematic issues within the framework of historical sociology theories.
3   They will be able to approach the issues of change and power especially from the perspective of historical sociology.
4   Will be able to critically analyze the thematic topics of their choice within the framework of comparative historical sociology.
5   Will be able to explain and discuss thematic issues within the framework of historical sociology theories.
