Course Objective

The aim is for the students to learn the general characteristics of lighting eqipments, its differences from other historical periods and its typology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to examine ancient lighting systems in general
2   Recognize the lighting tools uncovered in excavations and exhibited in the museum
3   Sspecify these techniques as knowledge of construction techniques of lamps
4   Understand the periodic differences of terracotta lamps
5   Drawing oil lamps
6   Describe the history of the lamps
