Course Objective

To teach student how to edit manuscripts belong to Arabic language and eloquence.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student knows properties of the manuscripts.
2   The student knows how to find the manuscripts.
3   The student knows how to edit the manuscripts.
4   The student knows how to find the Quranic verses, hadiths and poems which used as a witness in manuscript from main sources.
5   The student knows how to prepare the indexes and how to prepare the book for publishing.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Midterm and Final Exam:
In Mid-term and final exam, the students are asked questions in classical style about critical edition of manuscripts in Arabic language and eloquence.

Homework:
The student collects information about a topic in critical edition in Arabic language and eloquence and writes a composition or edit a several papers from a manuscript and then presents this composition or papers in printed output.

Assessment Criteria

The students will be assessed based on success in their mid-term, homework assignment and final exams along with their performance during the classes throughout the semester.
