Course Objective

As an interdisciplinary field of study, art and technology is in a continual flux. Technological changes opens up new creative potentials for art production and at times may impact it negatively. In this course, the potential contributions of technology in artistic creativity and innovation will be discussed through senses, new media, digitalization, virtual and immersive technologies, data and artificial intelligence.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To gain knowledge on art and technology as an interdisciplinary field of study.
2   To understand the relation between technological transformations and art production.
3   To research what technology contributes in artistic creativity and innovation.
4   To produce novel artistic practices through technology.
