Course Objective

Learning of the practicing inquiry of culprit with details and deeply and apprehending the regulation and sanctions of torture, apprehending regulations in European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on the academic level.

1   to learn the practicing of culprit s inquiry in Turkish law system.
2   t apprehend necessary things to do for not breaching human rights.
3   t apprehend regulations related with torture in Turkish Criminal Code with details.
4   4.to express the regulations of torture ban in international texts.
5   to apprehend the assessment of torture ban in light of European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) s decisions

1 The principles that are necessary complying with at the time of taking depositions or investigation of culprit.
2 The methods of taking depositions or investigation of culprit.
3 Technics and Tactics of taking depositions or investigation of culprit.
4 Evidence prohibitions (The legal value of depositions that are contrary to the rules of taking depositions)
5 Cross-examination
6 Taking depositions of persons that are special in terms of taking depositions and inquiry/public examination.
7 Torture in Turkish Criminal Code
8 Middterm Exam
9 Torture in European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR)
10 Torture in the light of the decisions European Court of Human Rights (ECHR)
11 Torture in comparative law
12 Crimes in Turkish Criminal Code that are similar to torture
