Course Objective

The objectives of this course are to teach the properties of structure and functions of organ/ organ systems that make up the human body movement to students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning the basic concepts and terms of the anatomy of the human movement system.
2   Learning the structures and names of bones
3   Learning the structures and kinds of joints and the movements can be done in joints.
4   Learning the structures, contractions and names of mucsle.
5   Learning and interpretation of which muscles how to work in joints during which kind of movements

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 What is the meaning of movement and human movement Understanding the concepts of the movement, skill and ability; biomotor movement, manual and pedal movement, ability of locomotor, nonlocomotor and manipulative.
2 Introduction to anatomy and anatomical terms
3 Axises-planes and anatomical movements
4 Introduction to osteology, upper extremity bones, pectoral girdle
5 Thorax bones, vertebra bones
6 Lower extremity bones, pelvic girdle
7 Joint types, joint movements and types of shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee
8 Ankle joints and their movements
9 Introduction to myology, descriptions of agonist, antagonist, synergist and denomination of the muscles
10 Upper extremity muscles, the muscles which help shoulder joint movement
11 The muscles which help elbow and wrist joints movements
12 Thorax muscles, abdomen muscles, lower extremity muscles, the muscles which help the movement of hip joint
13 The muscles which help the movements of knee and ankle joints Kinesiologic analyses
14 The muscles which help the movements of knee and ankle joints Kinesiologic analyses
