Course Objective

This course aims to give necessary skills to write an academic essay.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have the knowledge of the basic concepts of academic writing
2   To be able to understand academic papers on some certain research types
3   Ability to write titles and abstract in academic papers
4   Ability to write introduction in academic papers
5   Ability to write material and method in academic papers
6   Ability to write results in academic papers
7   Ability to write conclusion and discussion in academic papers
8   Have the knowledge of how to avoid plagiarism

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Drafting and portfolio techniques will be used. common features of essay types will be given by means of class discusiions, sample analysis and teacher explanations.
