Course Objective

To be able to learn the historical development of sports from past to present and the situations it affects.

1   To be able to explain and analyze sports in ancient times; the physical exercises of the common people and peasants in the middle ages
2   To be able to express the historical development of sports in modern and recent times
3   To be able to analyze the Olympic philosophy
4   To be able to list the history of sports history

5 Perception of sport in ancient Greek, sport facilities and education
6 Types of sports and its` implementations in ancient Greek and changes in sport concept
7 Ancient Olympics which started with ancient Greeks
8 Mid-term
9 Sport concept, sport types and sport facilities in Ancient Roman and gladiator fights
10 The cancellation reasons of ancient Olympics
11 The knowledge of ancient sport facilities in west Anatolia
12 The concept of sports in the middle and new age
13 The concept of sport in the period of republics in Türkiye
