Course Objective

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to specify the design and site requirements of groundwater production wells
2   Ability to specify well equipment and select well equipment according to formation
3   Ability to dig according to the well plan
4   Ability to perform piping, washing and graveling according to the well plan
5   Knowing the well development processes, being able to choose the appropriate well development methods and methods according to the conditions that may arise,
6   being able to determine the hydraulic parameters of the well through tests.

7 Machine Assembly Preparation for drilling (Levelling the machine, Tower, Kelly, drill assembly, Preparation of drilling mud)

10 Equipment process (Pipe types, selection of pipes suitable for the formation and water, piping process)
11 Washing and Graveling

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

From determining the land to be drilled to creating the site layout, choosing appropriate equipment, digging, assembling well equipment and selecting and implementing well development methods, determining the hydraulic parameters of the well, will be given theoretically in the form of lectures. Certain topics related to the course will be distributed to groups to be formed in the class, will be explained to the class in a presentation style in the last two hours of the class every week, and the topics will be reinforced by creating a discussion environment in the class.
