Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to develop the ability that transforms the ideas to design and designs to real objects.

1   To define general design principles.
2   To collect information about the designed product.
3   To perform the shaping, drying and firing processes.
4   To design an appropriate glaze for the product.
5   To evaluate the design of the product.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Three-dimensional design knowledge.
2 Determination of the product to be designed in three dimensions.
3 Finalizing the design of the product to be designed in three dimensions.
4 Shaping the plate of the product to be designed.
5 Three-dimensional assembly of the product to be designed.
6 Correcting the product that has become three-dimensional.
7 Mid-term exam.
8 Drawing the prepared design on the three-dimensional product.
9 Cutting the design drawn on the product with openwork technique.
10 Controlled drying of the product.
11 Controlled drying of the product.
12 Sanding the dried product with emery paper.
13 Bisquit firing of the product.
14 Preparation of the glaze and firing of the glazed product.
