Course Objective

To give the necessary technological knowledge about the decoration techniques of ceramic materials and the materials used in decoration.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To outline underglaze and overglaze decoration.
2   To define the Third Firing technique.
3   To identify the decoration by using screen technique.
4   To apply the decal technique.
5   To apply simple hand decorations.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The theoretical lectures of the course will be taught in the classroom and the applications of the theoretical issues will be taught in the laboratory. The instructor will discuss the theoretical and applications of the course for better understanding.
