Course Objective

It is aimed for students to learn and apply the universal technical drawing language by explaining basic topics such as dimensioning in technical drawing, perspective view, three-view drawing, sectioning, drawing the sectioned part, tolerances and surface markings. In addition, students' three-dimensional thinking and comprehension skills will be developed by conveying these topics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to use technical drawing tools in accordance with the technique.
2   Ability to make basic geometric drawings in accordance with the technique.
3   Ability to dimension in technical drawings.
4   Ability to draw three views of a given part in perspective.
5   Ability to read section types and draw the sectioned part.
6   Understand the representation of tolerances and surface marks on technical drawings.

6 Dimensional drawing applications of two-dimensional single-view parts
7 Dimensional drawing applications of two-dimensional single-view parts
8 Midterm exam
9 Perspective view, three view extraction and applications
10 Three view drawing applications of parts given perspective view
11 Three view drawing applications of parts given perspective view
12 Three view drawing applications of parts given perspective view
13 Section views, section types, sectioning rules and applications
