Course Objective

To teach the general definitions, concepts and rules in TC Labour law No. 4857 and occopational safety

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To explain the importance of Labour Law
2   To explain concepts related to employment contract and charge and its implementations in Labour Law
3   To explain the implementations related to the organization of labour
4   To describe the importance of occupational safety and health and its base in Labour Law
5   To define the necessary measures for securing the occupational safety and health
6   Understanding first aid
7   Learning and applying general first aid rules
8   Ability to administer first aid in cases of bleeding and shock
9   Ability to intervene in case of foreign body entering the ear, pharynx, nose and eyes
10   Ability to apply tourniquet
11   Features of first aid, understanding first aid principles
12   Evaluation of the crime scene

1 General law knowledge and definitions Definition of First Aid, purpose, 6 stages, respiratory system, artificial respiration.
2 The objective and scope of Labour law and definitions related to law labour ABC of BLS, Coma Lying and Position, Foreign Body Obstructions
3 Employment contract, its types, its punitive sanction and its cancellation Drowning in Water, Circulatory system and Heart massage.
4 Employment contract, its types, its punitive sanction and its cancellation Basic Life Support (BLS), Bleeding.
5 Risk Assessment and Methodology Shock, Injury.
6 Work accidents and occupational diseases Abdominal, Head and Chest Injuries, Organ Rupture.
7 The organization of labour Fractures, Dislocations, Sprains, Burns.
8 General overview, midterm exam General revision, midterm exam
9 The base of occupational safety and health in Labour Law Rescue from fire and burns, chemical burns, electrical burns.
10 The importance of occupational safety and health Exposure to heat and cold, frostbite.
11 Occupational accidents and occupational diseases Poisonings, digestive tract poisoning, food poisoning, respiratory tract poisoning, skin poisoning.
12 The necessary measures for occupational safety and health Special Situations and Diseases Requiring First Aid (Fainting, Epilepsy, Heart Attack, Diabetes, Stroke)
