Course Objective

The aim of this course is to help students learn about accidents, diseases, etc. that endanger people's lives or health. In such cases, the aim is to ensure that the medical team learns the methods used without medication at the scene in order to save life or prevent the situation from worsening until help is provided.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can distinguish the difference between the concepts of first aid and emergency aid.
2   Can explain the functions of the organs that make up the respiratory and circulatory systems.
3   Can recognize signs of shock and distinguish shock types
4   Can administer first aid in cases such as bleeding, burns and poisoning.
5   Able to recognize dangers that may occur in case of injury and administer appropriate first aid interventions.
6   Can administer basic life support in adults, children and infants.
