Course Objective

Before starting block production in marble quarries, the basic criteria of quarry geology research, transferring the machine-processing-production processes in the quarry, and explaining today's quarry production methods.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To transfer the basic principles of quarry geology
2   To conceive the production techniques in natural stone quarries and understand the workflow processes
3   To conceive the basic machinery and equipment in natural stone quarries.
4   To conceive block and slab cutting techniques in natural stone quarries.
5   To introduce the quarry restoration and classification applications
6   To conceive natural stone quarry management with waste management and recycle
