Course Objective

To understand important of greenhouse farming and introduce to items of greenhouse farming system, explain difference of ecological and socioeconomic factors that are important for greenhouse farming and teach cultivation techniques that use in greenhouse farming.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to explain state of undercover agriculture in Türkiye and the World.
2   Being able to evaluate benefits of undercover agriculture in short and long time.
3   Being able to explain using technologies and growing techniques in greenhouses.
4   Being able to evaluate effects on plants of these circumstances and environmental circumstances that consist climate of greenhouse, erect of greenhouse, prepare a greenhouse project, operate of greenhouse.
5   Being able to commend knowledge related undercover agriculture.

7 Economic factors effect on place choice of greenhouse
8 Mid-Term Exam
9 Actors that take into considering in growing undercover
10 Important of air conditioning ( heating, cooling, air conditioning, humidify, lighting, CO2 fertilizing) respect to plants in growing undercover
11 Soil preparing in growing undercover (drainage, cleaning, cultivation of soil)
12 Soil preparing in growing undercover (fertilization of soil, salinity and eliminate of salinity)
13 Soilless culture in greenhouse
14 Using growing techniques in greenhouse (vegetable, ornamental plants)
