Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach not only the description of the 8 sub-branch of gemstone but also geological formations (pegmatite, pneumatolytic, skarn, etc.) that
form the basis of gemstone mining.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to explain the definitions and concepts related to the formation of gem stone environments.
2   Be able to understand the formations and implications of pegmatite and pneumatolytic.
3   Be able to identify n formation and implications of skarn.
4   Be able to compare methods for searching ornamental gemstone
5   Be able to prepare research assignments on gemstone mining in Türkiye.

Midterm exam and final examination will be measured along with seven study printouts.
