Course Objective

The student, who has learned the basic woven fabric structures, aims to be able to derive new knits with this course and to learn the lancet and interlining weaving structures, which are the additional yarn structures, at a level that can use this information in the design lessons where the weaving design is practiced.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know one layer fabric structures in good degree and to derivate new weaving types
2   To use the warp and weft launch on the fabric structure which obtains an extra design and structure
3   The ability to use the lining warp and lining weft fabric structure, which provides additional strength in the fabric.
4   To create new designs with launched woven structures
5   To use the knowledge about weaving and fabric structure are the main elements of woven designs during design lecture .

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Student creates new designs with pattern and color index on one layer ( 2 D ) fabric using warp and weft thread
To prepare comb , weaving draft and armure plans of the structure that student created
Crepe patterns can be improved with different bounding types and combination of different patterns, production calculation can be done
New patterns , designs can be produced with extra yarn structures which are launched warp and weft structures of fabric.
New designs are created with flocone fabric structures , calculation of production can be done

Assessment Criteria

The student is evaluated by midterm and final exams.
