Course Objective

Recognizing and studying for their motive, composition, color and production techniques forming contemporary interpretations regarded with products for clothing and indoor places.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1 . be able to know turkish textile design styles and fabrics,
2   2 be able to have the advantage of utilizing from tradional styles in formation of contemporary textile design and having the information about it,
3   3 have the capability design indoor place textile which are suitable with places that are built in Turkish architectural style
4   4 Design clothes having contemporary understanding which is suitable with traditional turkish clothing style after being inspired of turkish textile design styels
5   5 be able to form collection preparation logic and practice
6   6 be able to transform design into product.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Courses
Staff member is to explain process of project as well as what is expected as a performance from given project within context of course. He or she is to guide students on problems to be solved in transition to designing and expect them to scan related literature.
Revising Sessions and Class Discussions
He or she is to discuss criteria that research is compatible with project , unique and convertible to project and choose skethings
Applications
After design problems have been solved, presentation of design panels is prepared and in this process student consults with his or her staff member or instructor. Students participate in jury process with their sketching books, presentation panels and accessory items.

Assessment Criteria

1-1- It is necessary to attend to lecture by 80%
2- Project file sketches research file covers designs dressings and product.
3- The project must be submitted to the jury on the announced date.

1.It is compulsory to maintain 80% of class attendance.
2. Any attempt for plagiarism result in disciplinary penalty.
3. Absence in the class is not a valid excuse for late submission of the projects and assignments.
