Course Objective

The objective of this course is to expand undergraduate students analytical thinking abilities related to current issues in the international social, economic and political environment, and to expand their knowledge about issues that affect the strategies, decisions and behaviors of international companies. The course will focus on recent real-world events.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to define the business problems of international business environment and how they affect the various issues in this area to have an awareness of how recent events in the social, economic and political areas are likely to influence the strategies of international companies.
2   Students will be able to analyze current and future trends to understand the alternative approaches concerning how these trends are likely to form international business strategy, at present and in future.
3   Students will be able to integrate into their thinking the importance of societal dimensions of diversity, environmental concerns, ethics and innovation to be aware of interdisciplinary context of international business.
