Course Objective

This course aims generating ideas on ceramic art and examining artistic ceramic s journey that has began in 1930 s until present, and Turkish ceramic artists, who are the avant-gardes of their generation, and their artworks regarding social and political conditions of their period.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have information about evolution of contemporary ceramic art in our country.
2   To have advanced information about Turkish ceramic artists and their artworks.
3   To be capable of analyzing and interpreting the artistic events and artworks in consideration of their period s social, economical and political conditions and also discussing this ideas in art forums and conversations.
4   To be capable of expressing opinons about a ceramic artwork s technical aspects and creating process.
5   To be capable of following the art events, understanding the connection of the ceramic between other art disciplines and contributing all these information to own art discipline.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1. Review sessions and class arguments:
Examining subjects to be investigated in class arguments together with students.
2.Investigation
Determination and review about literature about the subject to be investigated, and revisioning on traduction of events to scripts by analyzing them.
3. Presentation
Exhibiting and discussing the investigation via images in the presence of spectators.

Mid-term examination will be the first raports to be presented by students.
Final examination will be evaluted from raporting and presenting the investigation ,that will be supported with images, in the presence of spectators
