Course Objective

This course aims to enable students to show their competence about creating unique design and artwork objects that have advanced art culture and aesthetic via utilizing the qualifications of the student, that were gained in undergraduate study about designing and forming, in the line of a theme that will be selected every year.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be capable of generating advanced artistic ideas based on abstract or substantial theme.
2   To be capable of creating unique design based on the given theme via utilizing design knowledge that acquired as a result of undergraduate courses
3   To be capable of manage designing and forming process by oneself.
4   To be capable of creating an artwork based on a unique design that has advanced art culture and aesthetic
5   To be capable of expressing and justifiying the ideas and relevant designing process, in written and verbally

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1. Review sessions and class arguments:
Semtinizing of studies based on project theme at class arguments with students. Arguments on sketching on desgining phase, selection of design to be applied and process to be applied in production phase.
2. Class and Workshop Studies.
At the production phase of approved designs, checking the application, discussing the problems that appear and their solutions, telling of theoretical information about application ways.
3. Sunum
Exhibiting and discussing the artwork in the presence of spectators.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

1. Evaluation will be made from finalized projects.
2. At the evaluation phase, these criterias will be prior; creativeness in design, innovative attitudes and analogy between project and theme.
3. Sharing the reserach as a seminar with spectators, justifiying research and practice process and also presentation files will be evaluated.
4. Attendence of lessons, qualification of given answers and contribution of student for positive educational ambiance will be taken into consideration
