Course Objective |
The aim is to teach the students which materials are used to make traditional carpets and plain weaving (Kirkit weaving ), by which technique and on which loom they are made; and have them weave by using carpet, rug and plain weaving techniques, and also have them gain the skill to solve the possible problems in designing, theory and practice triangle from designing to production. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
This course is taught both in theory and in practice. Students are supposed to design a weaving in accordance with a given subject. The designs are woven by using carpet, rug and other plain weaving techniques. |

Further Notes About Assessment Methods |
This course is mainly workshop course. We aim to teach the students the techniques used for weaving, and give them theoretical knowledge concerning the equipment and looms. We will also evaluate the students attendance. |
Assessment Criteria |
Students attendance will be evaluated out of 100. Also, their designs and weaving works will be evaluated out of 100 at the end of the term. The 30% of the attendance and the 70% project evaluation will determine the pass grade. |
