Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to teach the students linings used in ceramics in different cultures; traditional Luster technique, and produce new things using this technique; Raku technique and produce new things by this technique; Copper-tone glazing and produce new things by this technique; reducer environment baking and its applications. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
In this course, the subjects within the program will be taught theoretically and practically. Applications will be done by recognizing the ceramics and their technical features of different cultures and making new try-outs. The results will be disputed in class. |

Because of being both a theoretical and a practical course, the evaluation will be made as both theoretically and the assessment of practicing results. |

Course Policies and Rules |
The course will be taught in a laboratory, so the environment should provide an effective study atmosphere and it will be necessary to obey the rules set before. The technique to be applied must be as in the production process as much as possible. Attendance is compulsory. |
