Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the student about the historical process and production of traditional pottery with raw materials and methods.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have information about the development process of traditional pottery
2   To be informed about the techniques used in the production of traditional pottery
3   To be able to learn about the primitive pottery living in Anatolia
4   To be able to explain the stages of traditional ceramics in the historical process
5   The ability to identify the Anatolian areas of local pottery in terms of location, space and size.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Students will be given a mid-term and a final exam concerning the subjects given theoretical. The pass grade will be determined by the midterm and final exam grades.

Assessment Criteria

The midterm, studies and the final exam will be evaluated out of 100; the 20% of the midterm, the 30% of the Presentation,Class Participation %10 and the 40% of the final exam will determine the pass grade. The evaluation of the two exam questions will be given to the students

Course Policies and Rules

Students who come from after starting time of the course, even taken to the course, will be evaluated as participant a half-time. At the end of each lecture topics will be covered in the next lesson and the students are offered as a subject of their studies. The course begins before the first presentation of the studies.
