Course Objective

It aims to analyze the relationship between Gothic and cinema from different perspectives from the beginning of cinema history to the present day.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will have a holistic perspective on the historical development of the relationship between gothic and cinema
2   Students interpret how gothic elements in cinema relate to different cultures
3   Students explore the relationships between formal, aesthetic and narrative elements of gothic and cinema.
