Course Objective

The audiometry program graduates who serve a wide range of society such as healthy individuals, hearing loss, special needs individuals, and healthcare professionals encountered during the professional practice process should have basic knowledge in the fields of communication and language speaking skills.

To raise awareness about the importance of effective conversation of the audiometrist with the patient and to ensure that they become effective in clinical and educational terms. In addition, to develop the theoretical infrastructure for speech audiometry application in children with speech or language development problems in the pediatric group.
Among the basic duties of audiometrists is newborn hearing screening. In addition, hearing screening has also started for school-age children in the last 3 years and this is within the duties and authority of audiometrists. Therefore, to provide basic knowledge and equipment about children with speech disorders that may or may not be due to hearing loss.
