Course Objective

To provide the learners with knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding efficient and effective yachting (marine) tourism management and practices.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Proceed, fulfil the yachting related processes in compliance with the current valid national and international legislation and regulations.
2   Carry out effective crew management processes resulting in fruitful and peaceful working environment along with decent repair and maintenance required to maintain safe movements of the yacht.
3   Display reliable and dependable performance in acting as a broker and /or as an agent well knowledged and competent in organizing, issuing and binding contracts covering brokerage and/or agent services.
4   Provide proceed and control fruitful, convincing, directing, and encouraging relatrions with marine tourists, well aware of their needs wants and preferences.
5   Act as an arbitrator including yachting issues, utilizing/activating a wealth of knowledge and experiences particularly related with technical, flagging and customs practices issues.
6   Manage yachting (marine) tourism activities, in a manner to prevent its negative impacts and faster the positive ones taking into consideration the economical, environmental, and socio-cultural impacts.
