Course Objective

Understanding the conceptual and theoretical framework of scientific research, gaining knowledge on research methods and insight on the impoırtance of scientific publication ethics.

1   Understanding the importance of scientific research and scientific thought
2   Learning the methods of accessing and reviewing information
3   Learning the quantitative research methods and using them in accordance with the research aim
4   Learning the qualitative research methods and using them in accordance with the research aim
5   Analyzing, interpreting, presenting and applying the collected data
6   Explaning the importance of scientific research ethics
7   Understanding and applying the ethical rules of scientific publication process

2 Research Review and Design Process 1: Choice of topic, accessing literature and concerning information Thesis/Project writing rules and publication ethics
3 Research Review and Design Process 2: The classification of the information, the theoretical background and preparing the outline Directives on publication ethics, rule violations and control
4 The choice of methodology (The presentation and comparison of qualitative, quantitative and field-specific research methods)
