Course Objective

The aim of the course is to introduce the students to an analysis of foreign policies of countries through theories of International Relations such as realism, liberalism and social constructivism and moreover to various frameworks that have an impact on foreign policy decision-making. The course will analyze the impact of external factors and internal factors on foreign policy making.

Assessment Criteria

1. Demonstrate understanding of international relations theories that analyze foreign policy decision-making.
2. Evaluate foreign policies of various countries by applying ttheories and approaches of international relations.
3. Participate a group work or individual work in analyzing a specific foreign policy of a country.
4. Demonstrate high communication skills in writing and presenting a report.
5. Demonstrate the skills to use library and internet resources independently.

1. 70 percent attendance is mandatory.
2. Plagiarism of any type will result in disciplinary action.
3. If the student will not be able to attend a class he/she would inform the instructor in advance.
