Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide the students an advanced understanding on the main principles and major issues of Turkish foreign policy from World War I until recently.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gaining indepth knowledge on the main principles and the major issues in Turkish foreign policy covering the period between 1923 and 2012 respectively.
2   Be able to comprehend the interests and positions of key actors shaping Turkish foreign policy during throughout the history
3   Be able to assess the external and internal factors that shape Turkish foreign policy
4   Be able to evaluate the outcomes and consequences of Turkish foreign policy
