Course Objective

To gain knowledge on the issues of distinguishing basic concepts of classical Turkish literature primarily such as imagery, cognition, evaluation of the classical Ottoman poetry in terms of these concepts, analysis through examples from couplets.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to distinguish basic concepts and terms related to classical Turkish literature
2   Being able to identify the problematic issues of the field through gaining sufficient and up-to-date knowledge related with classical Turkish literature
3   Being able to read, write and analyze the material related with the former Turkish literature
4   Being able to present a field related research based study both verbally and written
5   Being able to use the conceptual domain of classical Turkish literature in the teaching domain
