Course Objective

Learning to use correct and efficient techniques in an audio recording studio with equipments and managing studio projects from beginning to end.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Predict possible problems during audio recording and find some solutions
2   Learn basic principles to using equipments to create sound
3   Adaptation of studio and equipments
4   Use different equipments and techniques to find problems and solutions
5   Perform necessary software usage with keyboard shortcuts

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Protools, which is the fundamental software for today's studios will be used in the lessons. To improve the technique, practices which include some basic signal flow problems will be applied. Students will practice similar to the sectoral base.

70% course attendance is mandatory
Students are responsible for the use of the recording studio and all its equipment.
Students whom wish to practice individually or as a group should inform the course instructor and schedule their practice sessions due to the available studio hours into account.
Students whom wish to practice individually or as a group should take the required hardware components (equipments, etc.) from the course instructor and hand them back at the end of the session.
After starting lesson, students have to wait break time to enter the class
