Course Objective

to improve skills like visual understanding and kinetic keyboard manipulation using piano repertory for beginners, major, minor and chromatic scales, chords and arpeggios.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   play paralell scales and arpeggios in different tones with right technique
2   apply the articulation techniques accurately in the piano pieces
3   interprete more complex musical terms about dynamics, tempo and expression.
4   play different piano pieces form different ages including various techniques
5   demonstrate acceptible musical expression skills at piano

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The student level of piano technics and repertory are assigned by the instructor and every student is given the syllabus is assigned by the instructor unless under the program level.
Lessons are doing individual. In these lessons, instructor explains learning subject at piano using piano sheets and gives feedback and homework etudes after the student playing.

Assessment Criteria

Exams aim to measure whether students have achieved the compentencies defined in the learning outcomes. Each student will be evaluated individually on the program determined by the instructor, not below the program level.
Playing all the pieces that responsible for the exam, the accuracy of the notes, dynamics, tempo and rhythm, the student's progress during the semester, the ability to prepare the given pieces on time, the attendance to the course and the attitude towards the course will be taken as criteria for evaluation.
