Course Objective

Introduction to main and auxiliary boilers, dynamic pumps ,air compressors, fuel and lube oil purifiers, oily water separator operation and maintenance .

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To gain good skills on operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary boilers, dynamic pumps, air compressors, fuel and lube oil purifiers, oily water separator in order to run in safety and efficiency
2   Finding out the causes and remedies of the troubles in machinery engine
3   Manage engine room watchkeeping and emergency response.
4   Ensure compliance with international maritime safety and environmental regulations.
5   An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.

10 Bilge separator and sewage treatment systems operations maintenance and practice
11 Incinerator, and troubleshooting of incinerator and practice
12 Bunkering operations, procedures and practice
13 Measures to be taken for the prevention of marine pollution and sustainability, relevant agreements and reduction of harmful emissions and implementation
14 Methods to prevent marine pollution, relevant equipment, artificial intelligence technologies, zero emissions and implementation
