Course Objective

In the course, it is aimed to give knowledge about fundamentals of electronic devices, semiconductors, diodes, transistors dealing with the ship.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students are going to be easily adapted subjects of electronic. 2   Comprehension of concepts of electronic circuits 3   Identifying the electronic elements. 4   Ability to calculate current, voltage and energy. 5   Ability to solve basic electronic problems of the ship

Week Subject Description 1 Theoretical knowledge about marine electrotechnics, electronic circuits, power electronics 2 Characteristics of basic electronic circuit elements, flow diagram of automatic and control systems 3 Theory of semiconductors 4 Diodes and diode circuits 5 Converting alternating current to direct current 6 Transistors, transistor amplifiers 7 Feedback amplifiers 8 Oscillators, power amplifiers 9 Modulation, electromagnetic waves and propagation 10 Automatic voltage regulator (AVR) 11 Shipboard communication systems 12 Control systems, troubleshooting and troubleshooting methods 13 Emergency systems and maintenance 14 Troubleshooting of electrical and electronic control devices, function tests and safety devices
