Course Objective

The objective of this course is to provide an overview of maritime business
administration in the context of global logistics and supply chain

1   Explain what business is and how it is operated within different economic systems
2   Identify the basic forms of business ownership
3   Identify the skills required for management success, outline the functions of management objectives and list the functions of management
4   To understand the characteristics of the maritime businesses in the context of global logistics and supply chain
5   To understand the marketing and financial environment and functions of maritime businesses
