Course Objective


The goals of this course are to introduce the student to the concepts of the mechanisms of carcinogenesis.
The aim of this course is to discuss the general properties, physical, chemical and biological mechanisms, and their roles in metabolism and in the control of metabolism; to analyse cancer kinetics and types of cancer and in addition, evaluate the common cancers using clinical cases.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Synthesizing, analysing with qualitative an quantitative data, interpretation and evaluation of collected information about normal and cancer cells.
2   Identifiable the carcinogens and have expertise in the theorical basis of carcinogenesis.
3   Acquire basic and clinical cancer knowledge and analyse at the critical level the basic principles of cancer cells and cancer biology.
4   Synthesize the knowledge on proliferation, differantiation and apply it to new situations
5   Creating the scientific report from obtained results and presentation these results as verbal and visual
