Course Objective

Understand the biological mechanisms of cell death in oncology, molecular and genetic characteristics and molecular mechanisms of cell death.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Capable of express in general terms the cell death.
2   Be able to recognize and understand the molecular mechanisms and role of cancer cell death in the development of cancer.
3   Be able to understand the molecular basis of cancer cell death mechanism in anticancer therapy.
4   Knows the general methods used to determine in cell death.
5   Be able to criticize and plan the studies related to cell death in oncology.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Theoretical courses done, the importance of using the mechanisms of cell death associated with a particular type of cancer are discussed, and the importance of mechanisms related to feature for this type of cancer and a written given homework done in scientific format, and final exam done.

Assessment Criteria

1. Being able to express in general terms of cell death and cancer biology, to be prepared by using the mechanisms of cell death associated with the discussion of the importance of a particular type of cancer, the mechanisms for this type of cancer and about the importance of property to be evaluated with the preparation of homework.
2. The general methods used in cell death and cancer biology to know will be evaluated with final exam.
3. To question the making of intermediate and searching capabilities related to cell death and cancer biology researches will be evaluate with homework and final exam.
