Course Objective

Provide to learn the Ph. D. level knowledge about the general human embryology

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Able to define the history of human embryology
2   Able to explain the basic processes of mitosis, meiosis and fertilization
3   Able to define the changes in human embryonic period.
4   Able to discuss the characteristic developments in fetal period.
5   Able to explain and discuss the relations among placenta, fetal circulation and fetal membranes.
6   Able to define the mechanisms of teratology and risky pregnancies.
7   Able to make presentations according to the related topics.
8   Able to identify and compare embryological developments of other mammalians

Assessment Criteria

It is requested to prepare homeworks and presentations for the subjects that are required to be judges
Master level information is assessed by written method in the midterm exam
The information to be related to and discussed at an advanced level is questioned by examination.
During the final written exam, knowledge and discussion about the special histological structures belonging to the organs belonging to the systems in the microscope are provided in the application examination while the related information and the information to be discussed at advanced level are being tested.
