Course Objective

To gain knowledge and skills to organize methods and techniques that are basic for project study and to organize and carry on a project and to report it.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know how to plan a project and how to carry on.
2   To be able to make literature study on the subject.
3   To be able to choose suitable method for a Project.
4   To be able to choose and prepare suitable data collection tools in a Project.
5   To be able to analyze the collected data in the Project.
6   To be able to prepare a report fort the Project.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Stages of a project, the classification depending on the paradigms that they based on, epistemological approaches.
2 The literature review, literature review objectives, literature review organization, alternative sources for the literature review
3 Identifying and writing stages of the project justification, utilizing from literature for the creation of justification.
4 Stages of problem determining generally and transformation of the determined problem to research questions, hypotehsese sentences in quantitaive research, assumptions in qualitative research and the questions to explore and to understand the phenomena.
5 Identifying the aim and defining the importance of the study. Why is the aim appropriate for researching the problems Why is this study important
6 Data collection methods ans designs.
7 Tools used in qualitative and quantitative data collection and their features.
8 Course and Midterm axem.
9 Different approaches in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
10 Organizing the findings according to research problems and writing them.
11 Writing the conclusions and suggestions of the research.
12 Students' presentations.
13 Students' presentations.
14 Students' presentations.
15 Final exam.
