Course Objective

The understanding of the state in Turks and the principles and state functions that
dominate the Turkish constitutions will be explained.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand the concept of state in Turks
2   To be able to comprehend the idea of constitutionalism in Turks
3   To be able to analyze the basic principles of the state in Turkish constitutions
4   Being able to assimilate the idea of democracy in Turkish constitutions
5   Understanding human rights in Turkish constitutions
6   To be able to analyze the relationship between political power, legitimacy and constitutional state in Turkish constitutions.

Lecture, analysing Constitutional court and European Court Of Human Rights' decisions,
analysing the international human rights charters, discussing on the current papers
about constitutional state, seminars.
