Course Objective

This course aims to introduce the iconographic scenes on Roman pottery and to associate these scenes with the history and social structure of the period.

1   Understanding the concept of iconography.
2   Recognizing the scenes in Roman Period ceramic types.
3   To be able to relate these scenes with the history of the period.
4   To be able to relate these scenes with social life.
