Course Objective |
To determine the importance of Ottoman monumental architecture in terms of architectural history by determining the identity of Ottoman Architecture within the general characteristics of Islamic Art and Architecture. In this context, architectural developments, building techniques and styles that emerged during and after the Classical Ottoman Period will be discussed and evaluated with examples. Issues such as the protection of historical heritage and the problem of restoration will also be discussed. |
