Course Objective

To introduce and to analyse the problem of evil and the related terms of it; To take the problem of evil philosophically and investigate the theories agianst it in terms of Philosophy of Religion. To analyse the reflections of the problem of evil in daily life for believers in different religions, especially for Muslims.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They will be ableto learn and analyse the problem of evil and the related terms of it
2   They will be able to take the problem of evil philosophically
3   They will be able to learn the theories agianst the problem of evil
4   They will be able to analyse the reflections of the problem of evil in daily life for believers in different religions, especially for Muslims.

3 The types of evil; being subjected to the problem of evil.
4 Theological answers to the problem.
5 Ethical answers to the problem.
6 Cosmological answers to the problem.
7 Epistemological and onthological answers to the problem.
8 The problem of evil and Naturalist philosophy.
9 The problem of evil and Mysthical traditions.
10 The problem of evil and Religious concepts of God.
11 The problem of evil and reflections of it in daily life.
12 The problem of evil and Free Will.
13 General philosophical analysis of the problem evil.
