Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to achieve knowledge of the literature on social history studies, which is the most important dimension that historiography has reached today, and to gain knowledge about the reasons for the shift from the history of the state to the history of the society, which has occupied historiography for many years as the most important form of classical historiography.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have knowledge about the sources of social history studies
2   Learning the concepts and methods of social history
3   To analyze the studies and their results with subjects that are not visible in classical historiography (Women's history, Labor History...).
4   To learn and practice Critical and Interpretive Social Science Approaches.
5   To acquire the habit of lifelong learning.

1. 80% attendance is obligatory. You cannot enter class more than 20 minutes late.
2. Non-attendance will not be considered as an acceptable excuse.

5. Course materials are uploaded to online.deu.edu.tr.
6. Students are expected to behave in accordance with their student identity in classes.
