Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to achieve a necessary understanding of the basic characteristics and development of diplomacy between the 18th and 20th centuries

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have knowledge about the basic characteristics of the diplomacy of the Modern Age
2   Define the transformations of the diplomacy of the Modern Age
3   Comprehend the developments in the history of diplomacy of Europe and the Ottoman State
4   Define the critical events and developments in the history of diplomacy of the Modern Age
5   Intrepret the critical events and developments in the history of diplomacy of the Modern Age and argue the principles and rules ifluencing the diplomatic relationships

10 The reaction of the world against the change of the Western civilization between 1789 and 1914
11 The problem of East, the Ottomans, and powerful countries
