Course Objective |
The aim of the course is to discuss the ideologies framing Turkish political life, upon a background of the rise and evolution of modern ideologies and political movements. The course examines the origins and evolution of various ideologies in Türkiye, basically of liberalism, nationalism, conservatism, Islamism and socialism. Besides the general picture of these currents of thought, main ideas of some key proponents of these ideologies will be studied. |
