Course Objective

In the context of the changing international system, the development of Turkish foreign policy, in particular the process of Turkish foreign policy formation and actors, will be presented. The development process and practices of Turkish diplomacy in the recent period will be discussed. Türkiye's foreign policy objectives in the recent period and the principles that govern the conduct of international relations will be examined. International problems will be evaluated and the diplomacy practiced by the Republic of Türkiye in the face of these problems will be highlighted. The impact of the foreign policy pursued in the recent period on international relations will be evaluated.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Whether the student has knowledge about the topics covered in the course, the ability to evaluate and discuss on the topics will be evaluated by midterm and final exams. Students' ability to follow new developments and their ability to evaluate and discuss them will be measured by the homework they prepare.

Assessment Criteria

1. LO 1-3 will be asked in mid-term exam
2. LO 1-5 will be asked in final exam
3. LO 1-5 will be assessed by presentations and homeworks

1. It is compulsory to attend 70% of the courses.
2. Presentations and homeworks prepared within the scope of the course must comply with scientific ethics and institute rules.
3. Absence from the class will not be considered as a valid excuse for late submission of homework.
