Course Objective |
The course BIO 5007 in the Medical Biochemistry Department addresses the fundamental elements of cellular biochemistry. The BIO 5007 is a prerequisite for this course in which the material presented in BIO 5007 will be continued to address advanced subjects. The syllabus includes; genome structure, gene expression leading to phenotype, cellular organelles, mitochondrial function other than bioenergetics, apoptosis, autophagy, mitosis-miosis, angiogenesis, mechanism of cancer, structure-function relationship in stem cells. |
